Newborn FAQ
• When should I book my newborn session?
I recommend booking earlier in your pregnancy to secure your session date, allowing you to relax and enjoy this season without it sitting on your mind.
• What date do we book for?
Newborn sessions are typically pencilled in for 7–10 days after your due date. We stay in close contact around your due date and will adjust the session date as needed once your baby arrives.
• What if my baby arrives early or late?
Please don’t worry — I’m very flexible with newborn sessions. Once your baby arrives, we simply reassess and reschedule to suit your baby and your recovery but it is important to stay in touch and keep me informed..
• Can I book after my baby has arrived?
Yes. If your baby has already arrived and you’re hoping to book, please reach out as soon as possible. I do keep the occasional session available each month for last-minute newborn bookings.
• Are payment plans available?
Payment plans are available upon request. Otherwise, sessions are secured with a deposit, with the remaining balance set up accordingly.

Completely. In fact, nine out of ten clients say this before their session. Within the first 5–10 minutes, most people find they’ve already relaxed. I gently guide you through natural posing and simple direction designed to help you feel comfortable, supported, and at ease. It’s my role to set the tone of your session — creating a nurturing, calm space that allows us to document this season of motherhood exactly as you imagine it, with confidence and intention.

Your full edited gallery will be delivered within four weeks of your session unless discussed otherwise.
Family Session FAQ
• When should I book a family session?
As soon as you start thinking about wanting family photos. There is rarely a “perfect” time, but every season of life is worth documenting. Booking early helps secure your preferred date and location.
• When is the best time of year for family photos?
Every season in Perth offers something unique. Winter brings cosy layers and soft, muted tones. Summer offers golden light and a carefree feel.
Sessions can take place at the beach, in open fields, or in-home for a more documentary-style approach. Locations are thoughtfully selected to suit each season and family.
• We feel awkward, and my partner is hesitant, is that normal?
Completely normal. Almost everyone feels this way initially. In most cases, it’s the anticipation that feels uncomfortable, not the session itself. Family sessions are lightly guided, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable. (partners often say they'll do it again!)
• I don’t feel confident in front of the camera, will you guide us?
Yes. Sessions are gently directed using natural prompts so you don’t need to think about posing or how you look. The focus is on comfort, connection, and allowing moments to unfold naturally.
• When do sessions take place?
Sunset sessions are recommended for the best light. A limited number of weekend family sessions are available each month to accomodate working hours and tend to book quickly, so early enquiry is encouraged.
• What should we wear?
Styling guidance is provided for the whole family. A curated client wardrobe is available for mums, with complementary shirts for dads. A small children’s wardrobe is also available, or outfits can be styled from your own wardrobe if preferred with my help.
• Who can attend a family session?
Family sessions are for immediate family only. Extended family sessions are available by request and incur an additional fee of $100 per family.
• What if my children don’t sit still or cooperate?
This is expected, and absolutely okay. Family sessions are designed to embrace movement, play, and interaction rather than perfection. Some of the most meaningful images come from the in-between moments.
• When will we receive our gallery?
Your full edited gallery will be delivered within four weeks of your session.
